We Have a new cat the children have named Bagheera. He is all black and his breed is a Bombay. A very strong willed spirit he has.

My kitten is a bengal, so I wanted to give it a big cat name. Bagheera suited him, but is a bit of a mouthfull so his nickname is bags.

i am in the proses of tameing a wild kitten who has been feeding with our cat for quite a while although shes a girl i named her bagheera as i think despite it being a male name is fairly feminine x

I wanted to name by kitten Bagherra but she turned out to be a gril so I chaged the spelling to Begherra

We too have a black cat. He was feral and a year or so old before he took up with us. Because of his wild roots, smooth as silk black fur we named him Bagheera. "Bagh" means "Tiger" in Hindi and "Bagheera" is a type of black, none crushable velvet. Seemed appropriate for him. He had several wounds and scars on his front legs and none on his rear legs or hips, meaning he doesn't back down to anything, none crushable. Vet likes him too!
